The Daily Stats page and the earnings statement are two different reports. Stats are trend data that arrive early and are not a record of payment; the earnings statement is what the stores later report as payable. Returns, free trials and promotions, and timing explain most differences. A statement can only tell you what was paid, never what your stats page said.
DistroKid’s help centre has an article with this exact title: “Streams and/or Sales in Your Daily Stats Page That Aren’t Reflected in Earnings Statements”. As summarised in search results, it says the daily stats are trend data and can differ from the earnings that follow, because of returns, free trials and promotions. We could not open the page itself, so treat that as a pointer and read it.
Your earnings statement lists what was paid, by store, country and month. It cannot show what your Daily Stats page displayed, because it does not contain that. So the useful check is one-directional: for the months you care about, which stores and countries did pay, and are there rows with units and no pay? Compare that list against your stats yourself. We say this plainly because no tool that reads only your statement can reconcile it with a page it never sees.
Open your own DistroKid statement here and see exactly which store and country paid what for each month, to compare against your stats page — free, and it stays in your browser: https://musiciwant.com/musicians/distrokid
Last checked October 15, 2026. Sources marked “read as a summary” are pages we could see only as a search-result summary because the page itself would not open for us; we have kept those claims general and not quoted numbers from them. Per-stream figures are estimates from the two dated articles named below; none of them are ours.
