Why haven’t I received my YouTube earnings from DistroKid yet?

YouTube money is reported separately from the music stores, on its own timeline, so it can lag behind Spotify and Apple rows for the same month. DistroKid has posted notices when YouTube reporting ran late. Check that notice and your statement’s YouTube rows before assuming anything is lost.

A separate pipeline

DistroKid’s help centre has an article titled “Why Haven’t I Received My YouTube Earnings Yet?”. A search summary indicated that a notice about late YouTube earnings for July 2026 was posted, with payment expected within a stated window. That is a dated one-off, we could not open the page, and conditions may have changed, so read it for the current state rather than relying on this.

What YouTube pays per stream is disputed

The two published estimates we found disagree sharply for YouTube Music: RouteNote (updated May 22, 2025) gives $0.008, and Royalty Exchange (published July 15, 2026) gives $0.001–$0.002. RouteNote also gives YouTube’s own figure as $0.005–$0.007. We do not know which is right for you. Your own YouTube rows, divided by their units, give your actual figure.

Sources and how far to trust them

Last checked October 15, 2026. Sources marked “read as a summary” are pages we could see only as a search-result summary because the page itself would not open for us; we have kept those claims general and not quoted numbers from them. Per-stream figures are estimates from the two dated articles named below; none of them are ours.
