Taylor Swift’s Eras, by the Numbers

We measured every Taylor Swift song in our library and grouped them back into their albums — the eras. Then we scored each album’s intensity (0–100, from tempo, dynamics, texture, vocal force and more) to see, by the numbers, how the sound actually moves from record to record. No opinions about who a song is “about” — just what the music measures like. The result: a catalog that has grown more intense over time.
